What We Do

How you’ll contribute

Lead and execute analytics for new scientific projects from study concept and protocol development to data analysis and publication, driving additional high quality real world evidence (RWE) generation with the purpose of reaching customers accurately and quickly to inform reimbursement and access decisions for current and future medicines, devices and procedures.

  • Lead HEOR Analytic Work: Focus on generating Real-World Evidence (RWE) using diverse data sources such administrative claims, registries, electronic health records, linked datasets, and specialty pharmacy data. Oversee study execution and programing, including protocol design, Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP) and table shell development, and final study report preparation for assigned studies

  • Data Analytics and Programming: Utilize advanced data programming skills (e.g., SAS) to support HEOR and Global Medical Affairs (GMA) studies using Real-World Data (RWD) sources. Perform analytics on internal datasets to support business development activities as requested

  • HEOR Publications and Projects: Lead and contribute to HEOR publications, including manuscripts, abstracts and posters. Manage HEOR project work, including retrospective database analyses, health economic modeling, and literature reviews

  • Technical Expertise and Collaboration: Serve as a technical subject matter expert, advising GMA and HEOR on data sources for RWE studies. Collaborate with IT, GDO, and other teams to enhance data capabilities across the organization

  • Strategic and Tactical Planning: Lead and contribute to the development of GMA and HEOR strategic and tactical plans for both commercialized and pipeline products, including areas such as pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease, organ transplant, oncology, medical devices, and regenerative medicine

  • Healthcare Economic Information (HCEI): Assist in the development of promotional and training materials for HCEI under 21st Century Cures Act Section 3037 for studies as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

For this role you will need

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years of with strong statistical programming (e.g. SAS) and analytical experience with a Master’s Degree in public health, epidemiology, health economics, or a related discipline or

  • 7+ years of with strong statistical programming (e.g. SAS) and analytical experience with a PharmD or PhD

  • Experience in HEOR, medical affairs, managed markets, healthcare consulting or other pharmaceutical/biotech industry related work/research

  • Excellent analytic skills

  • Intermediate level or above at SAS, R, JMP (or other relevant statistical software)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in public health, epidemiology, health economics, or a related discipline or

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with a fellowship in health economics or a related discipline preferred

The salary for this position ranges from $185,000 to $235,000 per year. In addition, this role is eligible for the Company’s short-term and long-term incentive programs. The salary range is the range United Therapeutics Corporation in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
