The Analyst is responsible for the accuracy of master data records contained in the SAP system. This includes the addition, deletion and maintenance of data. The Analyst will also serve as the SME to other Business units within the organization to provide problem resolution as it relates to SAP, process, new business requirements and master data information. The Master Data Analyst facilitates the implementation and support of SAP products to enhance business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Provides accurate and appropriate interpretation of data, applying knowledge to evaluation, and analysis.

  • Troubleshoot concerns highlighted by the business units supported and analyze/complete service requests to drive sales and profit growth.

  • Ad-hoc assignments related to data integrity.

  • Provide SAP master data support for Merchandising, Finance, Club Ops and Supply Chain end users.

  • Provide insight into data disturbances or inefficacies within process caused by poor data quality.

  • Monitor process specific KPI’s to identify trends which may be impacted by data quality.

  • Ensure communication and adherence to the defined data standards and business rules of the organization.

  • Documents existing processes, identifying gaps, and provide process improvements and/or enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (Business Administration or Information Management) and/or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience

  • 2-4 years of Retail experience is preferred

  • A proven track record working as a Master Data analyst

  • SAP or similar ERP system experience is required

  • Enterprise Data Management experience is required

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required

  • High degree of integrity, humility and professionalism

  • Customer focused and respectful of others

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, via email, in person and in small group settings

  • Good understanding of business process and relevant master data relationships that exist within the retail industry

  • Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions

  • Ability to work autonomously – creating and tracking progress in an ambiguous fast paced environment

  • Outstanding planning, organizational, time management, and follow-up skills

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible night and weekend, when necessary

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams

  • Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills

Job Conditions

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $55,000.00.
