We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry located in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing our accounts payable operations. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely

• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain financial records and reports

• Apply knowledge of account coding to ensure correct allocation of expenses

• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial transactions

• Leverage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to streamline and improve financial processes

• Utilize ADP Financial Services for accurate payroll processing and record keeping

• Ensure all accounting functions are performed in accordance with established standards and regulations

• Manage the Automated Clearing House (ACH) process for efficient electronic transactions

• Utilize Concur for effective travel and expense management

• Perform accrual accounting tasks to record revenues and expenses accurately.

Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems

• Familiarity with ADP Financial Services

• Strong knowledge of Concur

• Experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Understanding and application of accounting functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting

• Background in Auditing

• Proficiency in Automated Clearing House (ACH)

• Expertise in Account Coding
