The Cigna Group Business Project Advisor, Strategy Management Office - Remote - Cigna Global Health Benefits in Bloomfield, Connecticut

Role Summary

The Strategy Management Office is a newly formed function within Cigna’s Global Health Benefits (GHB) business. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategy Management & Execution, this role is accountable for the delivery of specific business initiatives and priorities. Partnering closely with Senior Leadership and Strategic Track Owners, they will,

  • Provide project management oversight at the appropriate service level for each initiative

  • Serve as a program manager and developer of long-term roadmaps for the value stream

  • Aspire to be co-pilot of the initiatives/value stream, building expertise in the specific business area and contributing to strategic direction over time

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • Scope, assess and progress initiatives in assigned value streams

  • Make recommendation for initiative specific engagement model accounting for total scope of work, individual capacity and strategic priority

  • Ensure SLT partner has clear line of sight to health of initiatives, risks, opportunities

  • Facilitate any necessary decision making with regard to course correction or prioritization within and across sister value streams

  • Serve as a proxy/delegate for initiative strategy owner and/or SLT sponsor in forums to effectively create capacity for these leaders

  • Partner with Senior Manager to define and maintain a method of capturing and communicating total program health

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or International equivalent in healthcare or related experience

  • 8 or more years combined business and project management experience.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced, demanding and rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed environment is critical.

  • Demonstrated project and change management skills.

  • Familiarity with global health plans preferred

  • Ability to foster collaboration, value others perspectives and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals.

  • Strong business acumen, with proven ability to acquire knowledge in new business areas and new types of projects.

  • Advanced MS Office and SharePoint skills desired

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 87,200 - 145,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
