Aerotek HVAC Service Tech in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

Job Title: HVAC Service Tech

Job Description

Candidates will be performing HVAC service work primarily for residential customers in and around Oakland County, with occasional light commercial service work up to 25 tons. The majority of work will remain within Oakland County. Candidates will receive their own service van and iPad. Typically, they will handle 4-5 service calls per day, which may involve diagnosing and fixing AC units, furnaces, ducts, or thermostats. Responsibilities include discussing issues with customers, presenting solutions, educating them on repairs, and handling payments upon service completion. Work will take place both inside and outside customer homes, adhering to all safety procedures. The company is a Carrier Authorized Dealer. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, with the possibility of extended hours to complete jobs. One day a week, candidates will be on call, earning double time from their home to the job site and back. On-call service ends at 11:00 am unless there is a medical emergency.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Work Environment

Candidates will be working in both commercial and residential settings, inside and outside of job sites, and driving from site to site in a company vehicle. The work distribution is approximately 10-20% commercial, 30% new construction, and 50-60% residential.
