Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a File Clerk in Bloomington, Illinois. This role is in the legal industry and will involve visiting local courts and reviewing court filings. The File Clerk will be expected to interact with key court personnel and collect legal documents based on established requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular visits to local courts to review court filings.

• Collect and organize legal documents as per the requirements established through training.

• Scan collected legal documents into a database for client access.

• Interact professionally with court personnel to ensure smooth and speedy access to relevant documents.

• Utilize skills in Microsoft, Typing, Legal Research, Civil Litigation, and Communication to perform tasks efficiently.

• Maintain accurate records of all court filings and legal documents collected.

• Ensure all customer inquiries are resolved in a timely manner.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent

• No specific years of experience required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required

• Strong typing skills

• Ability to conduct computer research, as well as legal research

• Knowledge of civil litigation is desirable

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Must be capable of maintaining an organized filing system

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information with discretion

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
