Cook Medical Business Process Specialist in Bloomington, Indiana

Overview

The Business Process Specialist is the primary point of contact for Cook Medical Divisions and other functions for processes and service enhancing projects. This role is the driver of process improvements for applicable global markets, with the goal of enhancing the customer experience and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Social Impact & Sustainability (SI&S)

  • Maintains documentation of SI&S requests and responses for future use.

  • Main point of contact for new SI&S requests.

  • Coordinates completion of SI&S requests across multiple areas of the organization.

  • Responsible for keeping up to date on latest SI&S requirements at country and customer levels and actions accordingly.

  • Represents Global Supply Chain as SI&S Subject Matter Expert.

    General Responsibilities

  • Assists and/or leads in team presentations.

  • Represents group in team discussions/meetings internally and externally.

  • Responsible for writing business instructions and/or quality documents when applicable.

  • Seeks opportunities to receive and provide feedback from internal and/or external customers.

  • Provide feedback to their team, peers, leadership and cross functionally in a spirit of continuous improvement.

  • Regularly and proactively communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

  • Present regular updates on projects and programs of work to applicable stakeholders

  • Identify & execute tasks proactively, can delegate accordingly.

  • Workload can be strategic in nature.

  • Workload utilizes industry best practices for their area, when applicable.

  • Supports/aligns Entity/Functional/Operational Business Plan initiatives, when applicable.

  • Proactively seeks out certification/additional training offered in area of focus.

  • Draws meaningful insights to provide data driven recommendations.

  • Subject matter expert and owner of applicable key business processes, as well as identified operational quality processes, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and alignment across all markets.

  • Submits own new project ideas and leads projects at appropriate level.

  • Actively participants with the ability to facilitate and/or lead conversations.

  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert in area when applicable.

  • Engages with Global & Regional leadership and cross functional teams.

  • Main point of contact for the Cook Medical Divisions and other functions related to applicable processes, escalations and service enhancing projects.

  • Work collaboratively with the applicable CSD teams and Communications, to help resolve, and proactively communicate, any customer impacting issues / escalations related to product event(s) or supply chain issue(s)

  • Identifies and addresses discrepancies in Quality Management System policies/instructions.

  • Responsible for drafting new or revised documents and submit to PLM for approval.

  • Reactively identifies and submits Nonconformance/Up Available Secure Compliant issues but also able to identify potential risks proactively and escalate in organization.

  • Work closely with the Quality Team to ensure effective audit readiness and compliance to the quality management system.

  • Identifies and demonstrates Cook core values.

  • Participates in Business Plan projects, leads Continuous Improvement projects.

  • Leads country level projects with the ability to lead regional projects.

  • Participates in regional/global projects.

  • Ensures execution of action items identified, when applicable.

  • Identifies issues and provides proposed solutions and lead approved project through implementation in respective area.

  • Change Champion in their area.

  • Work closely with the GSC Project Team on nominated project activity.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.• Minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience.• Knowledge of Supply Chain systems, tools, policies, and procedures.• Advanced Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Teams. Able to use Microsoft Office 365 proficiently.

Qualification Requirements:• Continuous Improvement Yellow Belt certification preferred with continued belt maintenance.• Intermediate understanding of processes and dependencies for their area.• Intermediate system(s) knowledge for area.• Intermediate ability to evaluate data and make recommendations to solutions, or to validate data for accuracy by comparing to other data sources.• Capable of leading stakeholders on solution development, when applicable.
