Cook Medical Continuous Improvement Manager in Bloomington, Indiana

Overview

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for executing the Cook Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy and mid-range business plan as part of their business partner role. Working collaboratively with global functions, entities, and divisions to evolve Cook Medical’s CI maturity. Sharing knowledge, coaching, and mentoring key stakeholders across our business. Managing complex project (black belt level) projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise and lead CI problem solving training to relevant Cook Medical team members.• Coaching and Mentoring problem solving competencies• Act as a CI business partner to an assigned entity, operational unit and/or function• Understand the needs of the assigned business partner and support the progress of CI maturity• Provide coaching and mentoring to the assigned business partner CI role• Lead complex, enterprise-wide, multi-stakeholder problems solving projects , green belt or black belt level• Support the definition and deployment of Cook Medical's CI strategy• Responsible for developing ,delivering, and continuous improvement of CI problem solving training.

• Support the development, delivering, and continuous improvement of CI methods, as part of Cook Medical's future state CI system.• Build regional entity relationship and support CI deployment in alignment with global CI strategy• Support the harmonization of CI throughout Cook Medical, leading to deployment of Cook's CI system• Measure and report on progress against team goals/projects• Track and report on positive financial impact and process optimization related to CI activities• Ensure individual and team compliance with Cook values, quality system procedures, policies and relevant medical device standards and regulations• Co-lead networks with internal and external entities to assist in meeting priorities and promote innovation• Leads by example, and guides the performance of others

Qualifications

Minimum Work Expereince/ Educational Requirements

• Ideally a Lean black belt accreditation and/or demonstrable hands-on experience in developing and delivering CI training, leading successful improvement events.• Proven and demonstrable history of training groups and individuals in Classroom Based Training (CBT) and/or Virtual Instructor Led Training (VI• Demonstrable hands-on experience deviling Improvement projects

• Understanding of adult learning principles and knowledge retention best practices – 70/20/10 learning (application/peer-sharing/classroom)• Ability to work across the entirety of the business at all levels.• Experience in Coaching groups and individuals.

Physical Requirement/Work Enviroment
