Cook Medical Program Manager- IT Vendor Management in Bloomington, Indiana

Overview

The Program Manager works with IT leadership and directly with IT and business functions to assess, document and deliver business needs. Primary responsibilities include simplifying complicated processes, building functional efficiency, strategizing potential solutions, generating global and regional roadmaps, and delivering results. This position will develop and lead a vendor management program for the global IT business. Building strategic partnerships between IT leaders, procurement, and vendors will be the main focus. Key activities will include participating in the vendor selection lifecycle, leading vendor performance reviews, and supporting the contract and relationship management of key IT vendors. This role will also be responsible for creating consistent business processes for IT vendor engagements, as well as identifying opportunities for improving key financial and SLA metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a single point of contact for all aspects of the assigned programs and projects, interacting as necessary with team members and stakeholders at all levels of management.

  • Work with key stakeholders in the divisions, entities and functions to define full program scope and lead the operational planning and project managment for assigned the projects at a program leve l.

  • Esta blish meeting agen das, facil itate team discussions, and drive clear and t imely team actions and decisions.

  • Multi-project coordinatio n.

  • Pro-act ively addresses barriers and risks to program progress, keeping leadership informed of critical considerations.

  • Lead and facil itate team discussion and documentatio n of new inform ation , including pros, cons, and risks.

  • Ensure that program deliverables are achieved on or ahead of schedule, within budget, and with quality that meets or exceeds business needs.

  • Work with project teams and leadership to aggregate and synthesize program KPIs and organizational metrics.

  • Manages scheduled and ad-hoc program status reporting

  • Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization

  • Expert in listening and understanding what motivates team members and stakeholders to establish and maintain engagement and support.

  • Must strictly adhere to safety requirements

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

  • Must maintain company quality and quantity standards

  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision

  • A bility to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related technical discipline; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background• Minimum 7 years experience in Information Technology, Global Product Management, Global Project Management, or related area

• Proven ability to drive large scale projects with high collaboration andlead• Works under general office environment conditions• Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADAership

• Requires occasional early morning or late evening teleconferences• International and domestic travel as required
