Hunt Electric Corporation Business Development Analyst in Bloomington, Minnesota

Role & Responsibilities - Project Cost Data Base: Assist in gathering and organizing cost data from previous detailed estimates of various project types. Work with leaders from Business Development, Estimating and Operations to assemble data into a usable format that can be extrapolated and applied to develop budgets for future projects with minimal information. - Develop spreadsheets and cost data base: Develop in MS Excel or other appropriate software a method to develop budgets based on previous estimates and actual project cost, analyzing all aspects of the subject projects, including: - Various System breakouts. - Lighting Systems - Branch Wiring - Devices - Equipment - Mechanical Equipment - Feeders - Systems - General Expenses - Subcontractor s - Average Labor Rate - Mark Up s - Have attributes in the Spreadsheet to adjust for: - Labor Rates - Material Cost inflation - Labor Factor - General Expenses - Travel - Markup - Partner Markup - Apply Data Cost Template across various project types. - Data Centers - Power Plants - Hospitals - Warehouse - Office Buildings - Paint Shops - Conveyors - Industrial Procession - Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, estimators, and managers, to understand their requirements and contribute to the delivery of an effective budgeting tool. - Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including estimate cost data to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintainability of budget program. - Work with Business Development group to update Share Point Statuses on a weekly basis. - Assist Business Development preparation of proposals. Qualifications and Education Requirements - Bachelor s degree in management, Information Systems, or a related field or, equivalent work experience. Knowledge or coursework in data analytics, data modeling, or business intelligence is preferred. - Basic understanding of databases, SQL, and data querying principles. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a passion for working with data. - Good communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team. - Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of business intelligence and data analytics. - Self-motivated and able to take direction and feedback from senior developers. - Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
