We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to join our team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the sales and commercial activities for our Pet Segment. As a key figure in our Global Accounting Organization, you will partner with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial results and maintain a well-regulated environment. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide proactive accounting expertise and business partnership across the order-to-cash process.

• Build functional excellence in accounting capability across the sales and commercial functions.

• Support other functions based on agreed project plans, such as e-commerce strategy and business model changes.

• Follow and comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and current financial legislation for financial results and ultimate financial statement preparation.

• Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures, controls, and processes, developing sustainable solutions for identified control gaps.

• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.

• Participate in the GAO Commercial Accounting Control Global Community of Practice.

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with SEC and US GAAP requirements.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external auditors.

• Continuously strive for process and process improvement.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in financial accounting and reporting, preferably within a managerial role

• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with various internal and external stakeholders

• Proven sales skills and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies

• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Microsoft Excel

• Experience with marketing strategies and planning

• Familiarity with compliance regulations within the finance sector

• Experience in managing cash activities and ensuring financial security

• Proficiency in providing workstation support and troubleshooting technical issues

• Experience with external audit processes and procedures

• Exceptional phone presence for communication with clients and partners

• Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems

• Experience with revenue accounting and quarterly financial reporting

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting

• Understanding of financial statements and their preparation

• Proven skills in process improvement and Agile methodologies

• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and US GAAP

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred

• Experience with project planning and execution in a financial setting.
