Our summer internships provide ambitious undergraduates the chance to gain real world experience in their field of study. We provide challenging, professional experience with a global corporation, where you learn from and work alongside Donaldson employees. Internships take place at our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN, over a 10-12 week period. As an engineering intern at Donaldson Company, you will be given the opportunity to work on challenging projects, with a diversity of product applications leveraging a variety of manufacturing processes and materials. You will be an integral member of a collaborative engineering team with a wealth of opportunities to make an impact. You will bring value to Donaldson through: Using your mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to advance engineering projects. Providing input to alternate design ideas that favorably affect cost and manufacturability. Setting up, analyzing and reporting out on product performance benchmark testing Setting up and analyzing product evaluation testing Coordinating testing with various internal and external labs Preparing or assists in preparation of product instruction manuals and engineering standards. Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelor's degree in: Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Chemical or Material Science Engineering, or a related field Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Experience with CAD software Preferred Qualifications: Energetic self-starter who seeks innovative solutions Excellent oral and written communications skills Strong prioritization and problem-solving abilities Strong mechanical aptitude Familiarity with a variety of production processes including plastic injection molding, CNC machining, and 3D printing a plus Interest in supporting growth of customer relationships Basic working knowledge of NX and/or Creo a plus Minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA Employment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
