As a Sr Benefits Analyst, you will be responsible for leading the health, welfare and leave administration for all U.S employees at Donaldson and reports to the Sr. Manager of Benefits. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication, relationship, and vendor management skills with an interest to support our employees with best-in-class programs. This individual will monitor the various plans and policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements, company objectives and stay informed of industry changes and new developments to help the business keep up with best practice standards. This position will also be responsible for administering leaves for a subset of employees and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local leave laws. This role will serve as a subject matter expert and provides guidance to team members. Role Responsibilities: Health & Welfare Responsible for leading the health & welfare team to successfully administer the company's health & welfare and wellbeing plans/programs for active employees and retirees in the U.S. and Canada. Work closely with the benefits broker and Sr. Benefits Manager in the annual renewal processes evaluating and analyzing the benefits renewal. Lead the annual health & welfare open enrollment, various phases of program implementations and integration of benefit tools. Lead together with brokers and outside counsel in the U.S. to ensure plans remain in compliance, including annual 5500 filings, audits, communications, amendments, SPD's and plan documents along with the delivery of required annual notices. Develop strong relationships with internal clients (HRBPs) and external vendors to create greater efficiency, improve the delivery of services and reduce costs. Participate in any Merger/Acquisition/Divestiture activities as needed. Participate on project teams and work with vendors to implement new programs. Lead the standardization together with other benefit partners globally to understand where there may be opportunities to build new benefit programs. Provide guidance and be the subject matter expert to the Benefits Analyst of health and welfare. Leave Programs Work in close collaboration and develop strong relationships with HRBP teams and external vendors for the management and execution of all proposals and processes and support of our employees. Oversee the creation and/or modification of LOA policies and practices to ensure alignment with applicable state, city, local leave laws. Cross train with the Benefits Analyst on Leave Program administration and manage leaves for a small group of employees. Keep abreast of all time away related compliance, statutory, and regulatory changes across all states in the U.S. where we have employees and in Ontario, Canada. Continually review company-specific leave programs to optimize the LOA processes to deliver exceptional team member experiences before, during, and after the leave of absence. Analyze data to identify trends, provide insights and make recommendations to stakeholders and cross-functional partners to develop scalable solutions, programs, and policies to improve the team member experience. Provide guidance and be the subject matter expert to the Benefits Analyst of leave administration. Other Projects Provide leadership and support to Sr. Benefits Manager and/or Global Total Rewards team in other areas of benefits. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years' experience 8+ years of progressive experience in health, welfare and leave administration (combination of experience to equate to a total o 8 years will be considered) Preferred Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow tasks through to completion. Ability to productively collaborate and build strong professional relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to conduct employee trainings. Strong time management, organization, and project management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust tone and message. Understanding and working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, Section 125, FMLA, HSA rules and other benefit and regulatory requirements. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. Self-directed and analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint. Experience with Workday.
