Robert Half Sr. SAP Tech Analyst in Bloomington, Minnesota

Description

My client is hiring a Sr. SAP Tech Analyst. The role involves managing system landscapes, including both on-premise and cloud environments. You will be responsible for system strategies, designing infrastructure, and managing multiple technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide input on technology purchases, future projects, and system upgrades.

• Install and maintain operating systems (Linux SUSE, Windows), SAP software, and related utilities.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure system functionality and coordinate client copies from production to test environments.

• Manage ticketing activities related to SAP Rise.

• Provide database administration support (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server).

• Troubleshoot system issues, apply fixes, and perform hardware/software upgrades.

• Manage disaster recovery planning and testing.

• Implement and maintain SAP Security Roles for ABAP and Fiori applications.

• Support system enhancements from test to production.

• Maintain knowledge of new technologies and work closely with vendors.

• Ensure appropriate SAP client access for users and maintain printer configurations.

• Assist in configuring and managing connections between SAP and non-SAP platforms.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 10 years' experience in a related field or industry.

• Extensive knowledge of SAP and SAP S/4HANA is required.

• Proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server is necessary.

• Strong background in Database Administration is essential.

• Demonstrated experience with Backup Technologies and Disaster Recovery is crucial.

• Experience in SAP Basis is a must.

• Proven track record of successful IT project management.

• Ability to develop and manage Business Requirement Documents.

• Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.

• Must be able to demonstrate skills and knowledge through a practical test if required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge to keep up with industry trends and advancements.
