ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Join our dynamic team as a Traveling Assistant Project Manager, where you will play a key role in the administration, planning, and execution of large-scale electrical construction projects across the U.S. Working closely with the Project Manager, you'll supervise projects from inception to completion, developing customer relationships and ensuring economic project management while upholding our commitment to quality workmanship. Assist the Project Manager in supervising the project through purchasing, engineering, subletting and installation.
Develop and maintain good customer relations.
Manage assigned projects as economically as possible while recognizing a company commitment to quality workmanship, positive industry image and customer satisfaction.
Assist in preparing, processing and maintaining all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, billing, etc. necessary to perform the responsibilities of the contract.
Complete submittals and close outs for projects.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management, similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
National Electrical Code knowledge.
Drawing/blueprint reading and specification experience.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word computer skills.
Bluebeam and CAD experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet daily deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be willing to travel 100% of the time to a project assigned nationally.
Valid driver’s license required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position operates at an industrial job site and is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise, possibly requiring closed toed shoes, as well as occasional use of a hard hat and eye protection.
This position also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
This position may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
