Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Collects samples and performs accurate quality control testing to ensure product quality. Provides verbal and/or written test results to management and production staff in a timely manner. Assists manager with customer service issues as directed. Assists in mix design control. Certifies results of laboratory findings.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments
Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to: Assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing proper PPE
Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to: developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment.
Raw Materials Control – Assist in the program to qualify raw materials for use in company products.
Plant Control – Adjustment of process and material set points to maintain quality of raw mix and cement within targets
Product Control - Ensures that all testing is conducted efficiently and consistently to ensure accurate results
Examines laboratory samples to determine their physical and chemical properties. Uses a variety of instruments and calculations to determine conformity. Performs various tests to make certain that samples meet required standards.
Inspection, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance of automatic lab systems
Maintain documentation / data entry, report review, and data interpretation
Plan and organize work
Promotes LafargeHolcim U.S. Safety guidelines and standards, ensuring that safety and compliance requirements are met and followed on customer job sites.
Ensures all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner.
Ensures company vehicle is operated and maintained according to best practice and specified standards and procedures.
Promotes and adheres to LafargeHolcim compliance policies
Works closely with Operations colleagues to promote an effective work environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee will frequently be required to walk on rocky, irregular surfaces that may be muddy and in reduced lighting conditions. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently shovel for 3 minutes with an 8 lb. shovel, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, confined space, outside weather conditions, low lighting, artificial lighting, and explosives. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally

Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
Required Computer and Software Skills: Effective computer and systems skills
Travel Requirements: Minimal

Strong customer focus
Position will spend majority of the time in the laboratory but will be required to take samples from the plant and troubleshoot auto lab field equipment
Position will predominantly be required to work rotating shifts
Ability to work in team based environment
