Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Remote Chemist II for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in Cincinnati, OH .

This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position. As a KellyOCG employee you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K and a variety of other benefits to choose from. Key Job Responsibilities :

· Reviewing internal / external chemical characterization lab reports and providing data quality assessments for laboratory evaluations and reports

· Reviewing internal / external lab testing methodology to support chemical risk evaluations

· Creating / maintaining/ auditing the chemical library within the materials database (e.g., Project Galileo) as well as literature searches and similar, such as Plastic Map

· Supporting updates to material management data systems in processes, quality initiatives, and additions of risk evaluation features

· Supporting various chemistry lab tests for verification analysis such as FTIR, SEM, handheld XRF, wet chemistry

· Support in the creation of processes and procedures for risk evaluation of materials, emerging regulations, and process flows into quality processes

· Developing white papers and material risk justification to support notified body audits, biocompatibility, R&D material risk assessments, environmental advocacy, and chemical characterization efforts for MDR

· Develop chemical characterization criteria and support Toxicology/Biocompatibility, R&D, and Product Stewardship efforts in material research, compliance, and testing

· Perform literature searches on material compositions and chemical analyses, chronicle within Galileo and other database systems

· Reviewing and investigating new / modified analytical techniques and chemical risk analysis systems and databases and their applicability to the business

· Conducting a periodic review of upcoming chemicals of concern and their proliferation across the MD wide material specification, article, and processing material portfolio

Job Requirements:

·Minimum a BS in chemistry or related field

· 3-5 years’ experience with polymers and/or in an analytical laboratory environment with emphasis on method development and troubleshooting

· Preference will be given to those individuals with several years of practical mass spectroscopy (e.g., GC, LC, and/or ICP) experience and/or programming language.
