Position Summary

The Senior Analyst role of Pharmacy Operations Compliance is tasked with managing activities to ensure our retail pharmacies are compliant with applicable Retail Compliance programs, State, Federal and Board of Pharmacy laws and regulations, enterprise goals, and external best practices. This individual will play a key role in working with cross-functional partners including Operations, Compliance, Legal, HR Shared Services, Training, and Regulatory units to develop strategies to remain compliant, monitor compliance, proactively identify areas of risk, and develop solutions to mitigate the risk.

To be successful in this role, the candidate needs to be a self-starter, who enjoys working on difficult problems in a fast-paced environment, has proven technical skills, solid relationship-building and communication skills, a strong drive for fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement. This position will work independently as well as collaboratively with Customer Support Center departments, Store Management, and Field Management on the development of these programs, along with their rollout strategies.

More specifically, this individual’s responsibility may include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Retail Policy and Procedure support portfolio management

  • Annual controlled substance inventory and state controlled substance reconciliation support

  • Support confidential waste/record management

  • Compliance signage

  • Personal health (reproductive, gender affirming care, and expedited partner therapy) compliance

  • Functional compliance programs, including State mandate changes and State RxConnect settings

  • Support the Operational Insights program

  • Support State specific initiatives across State Mandated Counseling

  • Serve as an operational compliance liaison to internal partners

  • Support the operational needs of our RxConnect Access Validation process in partnership with the Licensure Compliance team

  • Support development/enhancement of operational programs while also assisting in the evaluating and measuring of the effect/impact upon the target audience

  • Drive both long-term and short-term operations-related actions and initiatives including Consent Agreement support

  • Data analytic support for projects and day to day compliance items

  • Create store and field communications for programs, support, additional compliance portfolio support as it arises

  • Create and maintain materials including job aids, guides, etc. for use by store teams to ensure compliance to current and new regulations and internal policies

  • Manage and respond to incoming requests from the RxOps Compliance Helpdesk queue

  • Coordinate work across various departments, formulating proposals, plans and presentations

  • React to the day-to-day business issues and needs (problem resolution)

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of retail pharmacy, retail pharmacy support, or equivalent retail experience (in retail field or corporate office setting)

  • Capacity to travel periodically to stores throughout the company to gather operational input and to gauge success of programs

  • Strong program management, interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization

  • Intermediate background in data analytics and management

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams at once

  • Ability to work cross- functionally to achieve results

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • PTCB/National Certified Pharmacy Technician (or equivalent)

  • Proven high performer, demonstrated by consistently high-performance reviews, strong store performance and exceptional customer service management

  • Experience leading and developing a team

  • Ability to be flexible and change direction as needed

  • Aptitude for learning and understanding computer software

  • Ability to plan, test, implement, troubleshoot and evaluate system software

  • Propensity for analytics; ability to review data points and derive insights that will be put into action

  • Ability to understand complex problems, identify root causes and remain goal-oriented within a dynamic environment

  • Proven ability to work independently and to recognize and resolve issues

  • Self-starter and team player with the ability to act as an advocate on behalf of stores and Field Management

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $122,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
