PacArctic is hiring an Armed Security Officer to support PAC and our customer in Bluemont, VA. The officer must possess a VA ARMED DCJS and hold a Top Secret Clearance. This position pays $32/hr plus health and welfare.

The Armed Security Officers will perform access control functions to the Government facilities by ensuring positive personnel identification and control through the verification of identification media. They will monitor compliance with the Government’s established rules and regulations. They shall take all reasonable precautions to protect the health and safety of persons, and promptly correct unsafe conditions, procedures or activities.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Uniformed, armed, security force members will interface directly with the security Site Supervisors (SSVs) and Program Manager (PM) and be responsible for overall contract performance, customer satisfaction, security force compliance, attendance, problem resolution, reporting, inspections, and other duties as assigned.

  • Security Officers will provide access control to the Government facility, as well as, and promptly reporting unsafe conditions, procedures, or activities

  • Security Officers will also monitor access to specific buildings on the facility by ensuring positive personnel identification and control through the production, issuance and verification of identification media. Security Officers are expected to work alongside the Government employees and follow directions given to them by designated Government Points of Contract (GPOC).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must be a citizen of the United States.

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

  • Must hold a Top Secret Clearance.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Must be able to pass a physical including drug screening and a psychological eval.

  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts.

  • Must have a VA Armed DCJS .

  • Two years of demonstrated experience in uniformed, armed, security services. Federal contract security, law enforcement, military, or private security.

  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and first-aid (Course A, Bi- Stander Adult Rescue, or Red Cross equivalent) by American Heart Association or Red Cross certified courses. Each candidate must also be trained in the use of an Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED).

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at time of employment on this contract.

Working Environment & Conditions

The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to stand for extended periods of time. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
