Valero Maintenance Planner/Scheduler - Ethanol Plant in BLUFFTON, Indiana

Description:

Coordinates all maintenance activities and help develop job and safety plans to improve workforce productivity. Acts as the liaison between maintenance, engineering, and operations to ensure all work activities are planned, estimated, and scheduled. Provides leadership and guidance on effective operation of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS, using the SAP system).

  • Analyzes and investigates all work requests.
  • Develops all work order based job plans.
  • Plans all maintenance work, estimates time and resources, and schedules all planned jobs.
  • Manages maintenance scheduling process including weekly management meetings and maintenance team meetings.
  • Ensures parts, materials, and tools are appropriately requisitioned to complete planned jobs.
  • Works with Maintenance Manager, Maintenance and Engineering Manager to support plant reliability and mechanical integrity programs.
  • Oversees plant preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
  • Tracks and reports on appropriate metrics to monitor and improve maintenance performance and plant reliability.
  • Assists with planning/scheduling effort for major plant turn-around and equipment overhauls.
  • Works additional hours to support annual turn-around.

This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:
* Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required. * High School diploma or GED required. * 3 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and estimating required. * Bachelor’s or higher level degree or Technical degree preferred. * Experience interpreting engineering drawings, equipment drawings, and piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) preferred. * Experience with computerized maintenance management system (i.e. SAP) preferred.

Valero's Bluffton ethanol plant is located in Bluffton, Indiana, about 30 miles south of Fort Wayne. The bio-refinery sits on 422 acres and started ethanol production in September 2008. The facility uses a dry-grind production method and state-of-the-art technology to maintain industry-leading standards in production, safety, product quality and environmental stewardship. The Bluffton plant annually processes nearly 38 million bushels of corn into 120 million gallons of denatured ethanol and 400,000 tons of distillers grains co-products. The bio-refinery has a nameplate capacity of 110 million gallons of ethanol per year and employs approximately 60 full-time personnel.
