You could handle matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), as the Accounting Clerk for this reputable business. The Accounting Clerk position is a permanent opportunity and is situated in the Boca Raton, Florida, area. Your responsibilities

• Manually or electronically post financial information

• Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

• Support accounts payable by filing vendor invoice and disbursements and by matching & filing A/P invoices

• Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources

• Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes

• General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

• Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned

• Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts Requirements - 5+ years of accounting experience required

• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Data entry experience preferred

• Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks

• Experience with numeric data entry

• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

• Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested
