Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process cash receipts, produce statements, collect on overdue customer accounts and account reconciliation when required

• Invoice creation and distribution

• Contact customers via phone or email to address their overdue payments

• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, billing issues and customer credit issues

• Monitor accounts, as assigned, on a daily basis

• Account Reconciliation

• Resolve collections by examining customer payment terms, payment history, credit limit and complete credit applications

• Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records

• Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer operations, customer service departments, and from customers

• Review and resolve a wide variety of process issues related to both internal customers and external customers

• Assist with month-end and year-end tasks

• Provides weekly and ad hoc reporting to management

• Provide audit support through the generation of timely, accurate schedules and documents

• Perform record keeping and general clerical functions

• Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department and special projects as requested

• Meet processing and reporting deadlines

Requirements

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully the Accounts Receivable Specialist must have advanced knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office, strong emphasis on Excel

Education/Experience:

• 1-3 years of accounting experience

• Associate's degree in Accounting preferred

• Must possess knowledge of Excel (Formulas and Functions)
