Job Title: Assistant Controller

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

• Month-End Close: Coordinate month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Review and analyze variances and trends.

• General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by overseeing journal entry postings, account reconciliations, and financial controls. Ensure proper accounting treatment for transactions.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and management of annual operating budgets and forecasts. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.

• Internal Controls: Evaluate and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.

• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide support during financial audits, reviews, and tax filings. Prepare audit schedules, respond to audit inquiries, and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.

• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and reporting to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic planning and decision-making.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Implement changes and improvements to optimize financial operations.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure professional development and success.

• Special Projects: Lead or participate in special projects, initiatives, and system implementations as assigned by the Controller or CFO.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial accounting principles.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
