Description

We are seeking a Sr Cost Accountant to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida. This role is fundamental in the manufacturing and construction industry, where you will be tasked with handling Work in Progress (WIP) and utilizing your fluency in Spanish and proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire cost accounting function within the manufacturing and construction sector.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to carry out accounting functions.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and conduct regular auditing to ensure accuracy.

• Manage the budget processes, closely monitoring and reporting on cash activity.

• Handle Work In Progress (WIP) accounting, tracking and reporting on the status of ongoing projects.

• Regularly review and update customer credit records, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.

• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Skills in Auditing

• Proficient in Budget Processes

• Able to manage Cash Activity

• Experience with WIP - Work In Progress

• Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Proven experience as a Senior Cost Accountant, Cost Accountant, or similar role

• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
