Robert Half is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Accountant position, which will become a critical part of an innovative company. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. To thrive in this role, you will need to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every single day

• Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

• Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• ERP system experience

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities
