Join our award-winning culture at PWGC. If you're looking to work on exciting projects with an amazing team, we are seeking an enthusiastic, engaged Engineer to complement our existing practice and support our growing Engineering team.

Summary:

The near-term assignment includes work on miscellaneous design projects in the Engineering Unit, including low pressure sewers, small to mid-size wastewater treatment systems, site engineering well/pump design, and mining earthwork calculations. MUST BE proficient in AutoCAD and preferably Civil 3D.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Mastery of Staff Engineer responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed design documents including: plans technical specs, calculations, reports, permits, accurately and timely. Design documents should be clear, concise, neat and professional.

  • Perform bid review, assist with proposal preparation

  • Prepare as-built drawings and punch-list

  • Communicate project status and potential issues with clients professionally. Interact with team members, project manager, hydrogeologists, admin, subs, contractors, regulatory agencies. Be as responsible as possible. Be timely with deliverables.

  • Attentive to project budgets and deadlines, stay current on related technical issues.

  • Maintain communication documentation and project file

  • Begin to develop project management skills (proposal preparation, project scope/budget/schedule, etc.)

  • Mentor/develop Staff Engineers

  • Strive towards obtaining a PE license

  • Assist with preparation of monthly invoices.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: All degrees must be from an ABET accredited program.

  • Bachelor of Science, Engineering Degree or

  • 4-year Engineering Technology Degree, successful passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE) and previous Staff Engineer title or

  • 2-year Engineering Science / Technology, successful passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE) and previous Staff Engineer title

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum three - five years' experience

$80,000 - $90,000
