Robert Half Technical Support Representative in Boiling Springs, South Carolina

Description We are searching for a Technical Support Representative to join our team in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. As a Technical Support Representative, you will be responsible for providing support to users by diagnosing and resolving software and hardware problems, monitoring network connectivity, and logging and tracking calls. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues faced by users

• Prioritize and handle incoming requests for assistance from users

• Monitor network connectivity and report issues to ensure seamless communication and access to company platforms

• Log and track calls using the problem management database, maintaining history records and related problem documentation

• Contribute to project teams by coordinating resources and ensuring the achievement of work project activities

• Escalate situations requiring urgent attention promptly

• Adhere to all Service Desk policies, standards, and procedures

• Maintain and document the company's technical inventory

• Conduct research on new technologies to assess their ease of use and suitability for users

• Use, create, and maintain systems deployment images and software deployment packages. Requirements • Proficiency in handling Support Tickets.

• Familiarity with the use of Ticketing Systems.

• Ability to perform Basic Network Troubleshooting.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Good understanding of customer service principles.

• Technical knowledge related to computer systems, software, and networks.

• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with other departments.

• Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, or on holidays if required.

• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and updates quickly.

• Excellent multitasking skills to manage multiple tickets and issues simultaneously.

• Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong attention to detail to diagnose and resolve technical issues accurately.

• Patience and empathy to deal with frustrated or upset customers.

• Willingness to continuously improve and update technical knowledge and skills.
