Business Unit Distribution Manager

Summary

This is a strategic role that will help establish the distribution network within each Business Unit, manage, identify, and provide process improvement within the Business supply chain of product. Develop synergies between Simplot and its customers, to reduce cost and ensure continuity of supply. Manage to KPIs for fulfillment requests, forecasting inventory needs, and managing a team to oversee the life cycle of the requisitions that are being submitted by local teams within the region they are assigned. This role will work to establish consistency across Regions and Business Units.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a strategy that increases profitability through operational excellence in support of the company’s product leadership and cost competitiveness strategies.

• Provide alignment and support on forecasting and product placement locally, using market intel such as crop shifts, weather events, and inventory volatility

• Forecast inventory needs and ensure movement of product in an efficient manner within the active markets, while meeting KPI measures set by the Leadership Team

• Manage short term requested demand site changes and supply shifts. Communicate resolutions and facilitate S&OP process within business leader teams

• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to create and manage distribution channels to ensure the success of an ag retail operation

• Develop and manage internal partnerships across the extended supply chain process

Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

5+ years related experience and/or training

Required Certifications

Substantial Supply Chain Planning experience in crop protection

Substantial experience in a supply chain environment

Proven leadership experience in a fast-past autonomous environment

Demonstrated ability to develop cross-functional relationships
