The Medical Staff Services Department is now hiring for a highly organized and adaptable Coordinator Assistant to work onsite at the Boise Regional Medical Center!

Position Summary & Highlights:

  • As the Coordinator Assistant you will support the general administrative functions of the Medical Staff Office, providing high-level assistance and support to the Medical Staff Coordinators and Credentials processes.

  • The Medical Staff Services Department acts as a liaison between providers and administration, providing customer service to about 1,400 providers, and verifies compliance and credentialing.

  • As a colleague in the Department, you will learn compliance, credentialing, and continuing education requirements, while working in a strong customer service-based team environment.

  • This position works primarily on-site on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus.

What You Will Do :

  • You will work independently on Non-Advanced Physician Employed Staff (NAPES) applications as well as delegated Credentialing applications.

  • You will also be responsible for Medical Staff Dues, stipends and application fees, annual medical staff education, and assist Access Center with unclaimed call schedules.

  • Provide customer service to all incoming calls on main phone line and direct calls to the appropriate area and assist with resolving problems.

  • You will maintain professional and effective working relationships with providers and other hospital personnel.

  • You will support the Medical Staff Office in the following administrative duties:

  • Manage and distribute incoming mail and assist with outgoing mail.

  • File, scan and copy materials and documents.

  • Prepare and disseminate professional correspondence including Medical Staff Board Letters and manage Coordinator meeting tasks.

  • Order and ensure appropriate levels of office supplies are available at all times.

  • Scrubs credentialing data into electronic database and create reports through database and monthly reports for Medical Executive Committee.

  • You will provide the following support for providers:

  • Organize new provider orientation, ID badges for incoming providers, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) training.

  • Help with Resident and student credentialing when applicable.

  • Track Flu shots, Continuing Medical Education, and other expirables per Joint Commission.

  • Manage provider resignations and new provider notices, and launch and process reappointment applications.

  • Maintain database regarding address changes, personal data.

An ideal candidate will have solid office procedures and confidentiality experience, strong customer service skills, be detail oriented and proven critical thinking and multi-tasking skills - able to work under strict timelines with continuous interruptions. An ideal candidate will also have strong written and verbal communication skills and solid understanding of MS Office Suite including: Outlook, Excel spreadsheets, Power Point presentations, and Data Base experience.

Work Schedule :

This position will work Mondays – Fridays, 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma required. Associate’s degree preferred.

  • Two (2) years Medical Office experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
