Equipment Setup Technician\ Fisher\'s Technology is looking for a qualified candidate to fill our entry level Equipment Setup Technician position in Boise, ID. The Equipment Setup Technician role will be primarily responsible for the set-up, configuration, and testing of new and used copiers, printers, and imaging equipment for delivery to customers.

The Equipment Setup Technician has the potential for upward advancement into a Field Service Technician role. This team member will be responsible for the satisfactory completion of all training programs to which they may be assigned, execution of plans as required by their direct manager, providing an excellent customer service experience, effective sales support, and maintain timely communications with internal customers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional product and service support for Fishers customers.
  • Set-up, configure and test new and used copiers, printers, and imaging equipment according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing to ensure reliability and functionality.
  • Provide effective and timely communications to Assembly Supervisor.
  • Coordinate with the technical support team for advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Properly maintain all inventory and properly document usage.
  • Report inventory shortages and assist with reordering as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer guidelines and industry standards. Report any safety hazards or incidents to Assembly Supervisor.
  • Maintain all of Fishers Technology\'s property in proper condition as verified by Assembly Supervisor.
  • Complete all paperwork and/or data entry accurately and in a timely manner for e-Automate and Remote Tech for system integrity and reporting.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, manner and a level of customer satisfaction in alignment with Fishers Technology\'s mission statement.
  • Assist on special projects as assigned by Assembly Supervisor.
  • Report all situations regarding technical and/or customer related problems directly to Service Management.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. on a consistent basis.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of network configuration, print drivers, and software installation.
  • Quick learner with the desire to become a field technician.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong aspiration to personally succeed and grow within the organization.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with network connectivity is a plus.
