Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is in search of a meticulous and dedicated Staff Accountant to be a part of our team based in Boise, Idaho. The primary function of this role revolves around the maintenance and reconciliation of balance sheets, the production of financial statements, and the implementation of general ledger accounting systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and efficient running of our accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, using various accounting software systems

• Generate monthly financial statements for various entities

• Collaborate closely with the accounting team to identify, track, and record inter-company transactions and allocations

• Actively participate in and coordinate annual budgeting and produce final report for Accounting Manager

• Prepare month-end financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and budgets in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with internal policies

• Calculate Payroll twice a month and run reports using Paylocity Payroll system

• Reconcile various insurance benefits with the monthly statements and payroll deductions

• Record new capital assets and maintain depreciation journals

• Analyze transaction data for specific account codes for the purpose of identifying potential budget variances, compiling statistical information, developing procedures, and conforming to established financial practices and regulatory requirements

• Calculate and post monthly Cost of Goods Sold and quarterly Idaho Sales & Use Tax

• Conduct month-end and year-end closings

• Maintain prepaid and accrual schedules, recognizing income and expense when appropriate

• Assist with annual external audits

• Participate in meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.

Requirements • Proficiency in General Ledger is crucial.

• Experience with SAP is required.

• Knowledge of Paylocity is necessary.

• Familiarity with Accrual Accounting is expected.

• Ability to handle Accruals is essential.

• Experience with Jet Reports is a must.

• Understanding of GAAP Accounting is required.
