Welcome! Are you ready to move your career to Micron? We are seeking a Lead Principal Photo Engineer to join our Advanced DRAM team in Boise. Safety & Quality:

  • Complete the required safety training and ensure all work is conducted in strict accordance with safety policies.

  • Drive a proactive safety environment and support the execution of EHS and PHA management systems.

  • Identify areas of improvement and work towards continuous advancements.

  • Perform and facilitate audits and submit good catches on safety issues.

  • Follow up on safety and quality-related issues to successfully implement resolutions.

  • Operate and maintain the area according to documentation and guidelines to ensure flawless execution.

  • Use best-known practices and network resources to stay aligned on proven methods.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Communicate goals, achievements, timelines, status, and line-of-sight with team members regularly.

  • Partner with PD, ODE, PI to develop and implement effective plans for process development and improvements to achieve part specifications.

  • Collaborate with the area program manager to ensure MOR flow accuracy and a high-confidence plan to close the MOR_POR gap on time.

  • Interact with equipment and consumable vendors to ensure alignment and timely progress on area roadmaps.

  • Partner with EDE to support production objectives regarding quality, recipe audits, constrained workstations, etc.

  • Engage with counterparts in other areas on multi-functional solutions to part type issues.

  • Honor and commit to decisions made through collaborative discussions.

Technical/Data Analysis:

  • Participate in roadmap building, vendor meetings, and TRMs to drive equipment and process technology.

  • Contribute solutions to gaps in the area roadmap.

  • Formulate projects when solutions are required beyond the scope of existing processes and infrastructure.

  • Provide solving support for complex problems and address root causes.

  • Serve as a key resource for technical support and/or provide required technical resources to support TD requirements.

Project Management/Planning:

  • Serve as the manager of area process owners, providing day-to-day project management and technical advice for your development team.

  • Develop clear plans and timelines to achieve results; supervise progress and provide critical resources to ensure accurate completion.

  • Drive the focus on priority issues and stay on task within the project.

  • Manage multiple customers to set priorities for your team.

  • Assign and reallocate resources as required based on part needs.

  • Coordinate and lead meetings and initiate follow-up actions.

  • Support department business processes (Specs, MOR, CL, PMI, etc.) for process transfer to manufacturing sites.

  • Partner with Procurement, PD, PI, Planning, and manufacturing on process requirements and support new tool/chamber purchases (QPUP, QPODS).

Performance Management:

  • Set and communicate performance goals for the team that provide line-of-sight.

  • Meet regularly with the team to review performance, provide mentoring, and build development plans using SuccessFactors.

  • Partner with direct reports to build strategic/tactical goals and projects that meet individual and department needs.

  • Ensure the use of performance management tools, including maintaining documentation to gain feedback, plans, and progress to support performance ratings.

  • Mentor the team on soft skills (written and verbal communication, Micron behaviors, risk management, decision making, vendor interaction) and technical skills (data analysis, DOE, area technology).

  • Recognize and reward Micron team members for outstanding performance.

  • Recruit both external and internal candidates to fill headcount in the group.

  • Provide conflict resolution if issues arise.

  • Encourage continuing education through classes, overviews, and regular literature reviews among group members.
