Micron’s Mobile Business Unit (MBU) is responsible for bringing outstanding memory and storage products to the smartphone market! As an MBU Product Roadmap Planning Manager you will work with a cross-functional team of Engineers, Product Managers, Executive Teams and Business professionals in developing requirements and product definitions that drive a highly competitive product roadmap that delivers outstanding products to our customers. This is a high transparency, important role that requires a deep understanding of the mobile market, mobile phone systems and architectures, and DRAM/LPDRAM technology.

A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrix organization and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality products!

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Use insight gained from interactions with the mobile ecosystem to develop outstanding requirements and product definitions for future mobile DRAM products with specific focus on Power Consumption and Performances in both LPDRAM Discrete Solution and System Solutions integrating LP DRAM with Storage solutions (like Mobile MCP Solutions).

  • Work with multi-functional teams to evaluate trade-offs with product features and performance as well as how to align internal resources to the needs of the business.

  • Provide inputs to engineering teams on the functionality, quality, usability and supportability of meaningful products and features for key customers.

  • Measure the success of our product requirements to gain a better understanding of how to continually improve our products and the processes we follow.

  • Drive and maintain company database defining key product characteristic.

Qualifications

  • Passion, energy, personal accountability, and a desire to develop outstanding products.

  • Experience in Semiconductor industry with strong background in mobile memory products, the mobile market, and overall mobile ecosystem.

  • Highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrix organization and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality products.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. This role will be working with both Marketing and Engineering teams to understand customer requirements and balance this with what is achievable by engineering team within cost and schedule boundaries.

  • Ability to maintain clear priorities and direction for the product development teams.

  • Quick decision-making skills in high pressure environments with limited data or direction

  • Ability to lead, challenge, communicate and influence at all levels of the organization

  • Adaptable, organized and diligent.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in CS, EE or EC, Master’s or an MBA is preferred.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years combined experience in Engineering, Product Management/Design, Product Definition or Product Requirement roles.
