Summary Statement
The City of Boise is hiring for a Revenue Analyst Supervisor. This role d irects and maintains advanced financial research and analysis for the Public Works department's multiple enterprise funds and budgets.
Collaborates with key personnel from various city departments and oversees a team of data analysts to implement financial strategies for the Public Works Department’s utilities, while ensuring accurate data management reporting for both internal and external stakeholders
Manages complex financial and statistical data analysis related to the budget
Contributes to strategic planning for the the city’s Public Works utilities

Essential Functions
Performs the full range of duties (with appropriate managerial review), including hiring, evaluating, promoting, and assigning duties; correcting inappropriate actions or behavior through communication and coaching, initiating discipline or termination as needed; and overseeing employees or a group. (10%)
Directs and maintains advanced financial research and analysis for the department's multiple enterprise funds and budgets including quality control of subordinate revenue analysts’ work. (30%)
Collaborates with PW leadership, oversees the development and updates of the financial models and analysis and the creation of data and analysis required for the annual budget. Coordinates with the Information Technology Department to integrate data sets into financial models. (20%)
Manages, prepares and presents regular financial reports, models, calculations and data to evaluate department activities for Public Works' funds, prepares and presents analysis and reports to department and city leadership, including the Public Works Commission and city council. (20%)
Provides expert knowledge and guidance to the Public Works team on financial policies, procedures and ordinances. (10%)
Develops and maintains advanced reporting tools in collaboration with department administration, IT and city departments used to guide the department's direction. Facilitates innovation to effectively communicate data to stakeholders through innovative reporting tools and analyses. (10%)

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training
Bachelor’s degree, and
5 years of experience in financial and business analysis, accounting, economics, public utility administration, or related field, or
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training
Master’s degree, and
5 years of progressive experience in advanced financial and business analysis, accounting, economics, public utility administration or related field
Demonstrated knowledge of statistical analysis tools, database platforms and dashboard utilities
Prior experience managing and supervising staff with demonstrated leadership ability
Level of Knowledge:
Financial and business analysis
Dashboard and reporting approaches
Advanced spreadsheet capabilities
Research methods and communication of complicated financial statistical modeling concepts
Statistical analysis, dashboard reporting or data management software
Ability To:
Evaluate and improve PW financial analysis, related management processes and reporting
Create clear and concise reporting tools and dashboards utilizing the MS Office suite, including PowerBI, and Adobe Acrobat Pro Plus
Develop and manage complicated financial tools that enhance decision making and team capabilities
Demonstrate judgment and drive to identify and solve a wide variety of challenges
Actively seek out, research and analyze data from a variety of sources and formats
Independently collaborate with other city departments to provide solutions
Create concise reports to facilitate well-informed and objective decisions
Interpret and apply laws, policies and regulations
Work in a team environment to achieve organizational goals
Utilize good organizational skills, display attention to detail and sound logic
Exercise independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
