As a Wet Process Development Principal Engineer or Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS), you will be part of a groundbreaking 3D DRAM research and development Wet Process team! We evaluate new hardware platforms and process chemistries, performing fundamental research, chemistry development, and generation of intellectual property relevant to the company! On this team we chip in to wet process technology roadmap updates; work with Micron engineers and vendors to develop processes that meet device requirements for future 3D DRAM technology nodes; transfer processes to pilot production and high-volume manufacturing facilities. Additionally, we also improve existing processes and enhance process capability, productivity, and efficiency.

Expectations include, but not limited to:

  • Technically innovate: Chip in to strategic or tactical decisions at a project and platform level by contributing to high-level innovation feasibility studies; Regularly solves sophisticated problems before they become problems.

  • Technically Focus: Has the vision and technical skills to relate technologies and business plans of group and other group’s projects; Actively builds Micron intellectual property; Aware of external technical advancements substantiated with understanding of the state-of-the art.

  • Impact Results: Leads Micron IP into successful technical readiness and transition to program integration.

  • Influence: Regularly drives product planning/roadmap, platform features, and functional area strategy. Successfully convinces management to initiate new projects.

  • Lead: Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams, tiger teams, task force teams, etc; Demonstrates independence and initiative in proactively developing and applying new skills in the most critical current or future domains.

  • Mentor: Mentors others within their technical subject area to achieve high levels of technical leadership; Shares knowledge with others, proven through mentoring, coaching, presenting, etc.

  • Skill and experience: Regularly interact with senior management to provide consultation and influence technical and strategic decisions; Crafts alliances with customers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or related fields

  • 5 plus years of experience working as a process development engineer in a R&D environment preferred

  • Experience in DRAM or Memory is preferred.
