CNC Plasma Operator

Paying $25.00 / HR - $30.00 / HR

Location - Boring, OR

Responsibilities:

Set Up and Operation:

• Operate CNC Kinetic K5000xmc plasma cutting machine to cut materials according to blueprints, job orders, and design specifications.

• Set up machine by loading materials, inputting correct parameters, and ensuring accuracy in cutting dimensions.

• Adjust machine settings for material types and thicknesses as required.

Quality Control:

• Perform first-article inspections and ongoing quality checks throughout production runs to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional standards.

• Make necessary adjustments to the CNC programs or machine settings to maintain precision.

Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance on CNC plasma cutting machine to ensure optimal operation.

• Troubleshoot and repair basic machine malfunctions, reporting any significant issues to maintenance or management.

Documentation:

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production orders.

• Complete daily production logs and maintain accurate records of materials used and parts produced.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines, Kinetic or similar CNC equipment.

• Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and tools.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Proficiency in CNC programming and operation.

• Knowledge of different metals, material properties, and cutting techniques.

Environment/ Shift:

• Family owned metals fabrication shop. They mostly build pressure vessels for industrial applications. They just built a new building on their campus and are working on filling that team up. Brand new machines!

• Day shift- 4x10s (No weekend OT).
