Description We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team. The role is situated in Boston, Massachusetts, and the chosen candidate will be responsible for a variety of bookkeeping and accounting tasks. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be tasked with handling customer inquiries, maintaining customer records, and processing credit applications. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Taking charge of bookkeeping tasks and ensuring cleanliness in financial records.

• Conducting credit card reconciliations on a regular basis.

• Understanding and managing the payables approval process, ensuring all payables are sorted by Wednesday evenings.

• Handling necessary documentation and ensuring all documents are stored in the right places.

• Taking responsibility for a limited number of quarterly invoices.

• Utilizing skills in payroll/benefits for an upcoming recon project.

• Demonstrating proficiency in using Bill.com, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Excel.

• Applying a strong understanding of the payables cycle and experience working with credit cards (AMEX and Eastern Bank).

• Displaying strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Requirements • Applicant must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounting Clerk

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory

• Familiarity with Billing procedures is required

• Must be adept at using Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Bookkeeping skills are crucial for this role

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Knowledge of Quickbooks Online is highly desirable

• Ability to use bill.com for various accounting tasks is a plus
