Job Summary

MAPFRE is selecting a Growth Specialist for a new strategic initiative in New England. This is a dynamic position aimed at transforming the way MAPFRE engages with Independent Agencies, working collaboratively with our Business Development Representatives and other existing teams. The Growth Specialist will become the agencies’ trusted advisor, nurturing them with strategies and capabilities to grow their portfolio and revenue using a data-driven approach. The Growth Specialist is responsible for the growth, the quality of business, and the satisfaction of all the Independent Agents participating in the initiative, as well as agency appointment, onboarding, training, engagement and advisory. The Growth Specialist likes to be on the road, visiting agencies and engaging in sales events and activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.

Experience: 4 - 6 years - or Associates Degree equivalent plus 6 - 8 years.

Knowledge: Complete understanding and knowledge of industry practices, standards, and concepts within field of work. Applies them to perform or lead work requiring extensive analytical business skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Define and iterate the segmentation and selection criteria for eligible Independent Agents.

  2. Evolve our value proposition for Independent Agents, in alignment with MAPFRE’s channel strategy and the participants’ feedback

  3. Engage with agencies on a daily basis, both remotely and on the ground, building trustworthy relationships at all levels: Principals, Agents, CSRs…

  4. Coordinate all operations related to the initiative, with a strong focus on growth and agency satisfaction. Align different internal teams to ensure a smooth delivery.

  5. Elaborate sales forecast and growth simulations for/with Agencies.
