Robert Half Data Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Data Analyst in the insurance industry, based in Boston, Massachusetts. The role is fully remote and encompasses a variety of tasks related to data manipulation and standardization.

Responsibilities:

• Handle projects related to data manipulation and standardization, ensuring the accurate transformation of data for analytical purposes

• Conduct meticulous reviews of incoming documents and their associated names, matching these against other data in the database

• Carefully compare and match claimant names found in subjects to other files containing claimant addresses or claim numbers

• Take on projects involving Optical Character Recognition (OCR), converting scanned images into data

• Develop coverage charts that present a comprehensive overview of how a company purchased insurance coverage and its type

• Vigilantly check for and eliminate any duplicate files or documents, ensuring all work is thoroughly reviewed before being sent off to legal teams

• Utilize strong Excel skills for data visualization and analysis, while providing high level customer service

• Maintain an organized work approach, effectively solving problems as they arise Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Data Analyst role, preferably within the insurance industry

• Demonstrable skill in Data Visualization to effectively present data in a clear and concise manner

• Proficiency in Analytics with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and other data management software for data entry, analysis, and reporting

• Ability to create Organizational Charts to represent data and processes in a structured format

• Strong Customer Service skills with a proven track record of responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues

• Solid experience in Data Analysis, including data cleaning, data integration, and statistical analysis

• The candidate must be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required as the role involves collaborating with different teams within the organization
