Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance, oversight, and development assistance to more junior staff.

  • Facilitates the implementation of research projects and monitors for quality and timely completion.

  • Assumes a team assistant or co-lead role, monitoring day-to-day operations of projects.

  • Implements methodologies, research questions, evaluations and analysis plans. Shows progressive growth in understanding and leadership of research methods.

  • Prepares data collection tools, including surveys, qualitative interview and focus group protocols and data management requirements, with minimal assistance from more senior staff.

  • Conducts qualitative and quantitative data collection, including completing stakeholder interviews, administering surveys and facilitating focus groups. May include case record reviews.

  • Trains staff on best practices in data collection, data security and storage.

  • Sometimes provides technical assistance and conducts training in use of data collection tools.

  • Assists in the design, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance procedures for all analyses.

  • Design performance and outcome analyses for data collected. Interpret and draw conclusions from the results.

  • Compiles results and prepare reports, presentations and other documentation of outcomes. Shows consistent growth and independence in complexity and quality of work.

  • Leads client meetings and develops communication plans.

  • Facilitates discussions with client stakeholders, including interpretation of findings, development of reports and disseminating results.

  • Conducts background research on projects and research topics.

  • Conducts background research for proposal development. Completes forms, resumes, reference information for proposals as needed and provides proposal management functions.

  • Assist with developing business opportunities such as preparing conference presentations and sell sheets.

  • Understands both the service delivery system for programs which are administered by states and monitored by federal regulators.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lead work streams

  • Understanding of research design

  • Ability to develop data collection tools, including surveys, qualitative interview and focus group protocols, and develop requirements for data collection systems and data extracts of case management data.

  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection and interpret and report results

  • Report preparation.

  • Research and literature reviews.

  • Understanding of state and federal requirements.

  • Able to clearly document findings with relevant supporting details.

  • Able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to work independently.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred in relevant field

  • 2+ years of experience in Mixed Methods evaluations (qualitative/quantitative evaluation skills).2+ years of experience in conducting research or program evaluations of social services agencies.

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $61,000 - $72,800. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
