Danaher Corporation Senior Events Manager Science and Technology (S&T) (ONSITE -- BOSTON) in Boston, Massachusetts

In this role, you will lead:

  • Event Planning, Coordination and On-Site Event Management: Plan, organize, and execute science and technology events, aligned with company policies and objectives, ensuring each event delivers key messaging and brand goals. Ensure that all events comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.

  • Project Management: Develop detailed project plans for each event, ensuring timely completion of tasks and effective resource allocation, including budget management, contracts, vendor relationships, logistics, room blocks, T&E and onsite coordination.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various internal departments, including legal, compliance, corporate communications, and marketing, to align event activities with company policies and strategic goals. Provide leadership and direction to event support staff.

  • Performance: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of events providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Drive ever‐improving results by leveraging DBS tools. Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event and identify areas for improvement.

  • Marketing Coordination: Collaborate with corporate communications and marketing teams to ensure consistent use of event marketing materials and branding across all event-related platforms.

  • The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum 10 years related experience, including at least 5 years of Event Management experience with proven track record for successfully planning and executing events from conception to completion.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or related discipline.

  • Demonstrated / articulatable track record of excellent leadership, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives. External Vendor Management Procurement Experience.

  • Experience working with film crews to ensure consistent and high-quality results, in contexts including both large events and small shoots (e.g., fireside chats / 1:1 interviews).

  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for delivering an exceptional event experience.

  • Willing and able to travel approximately 50%, including internationally

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP); Certified Meeting Manager (CMM) is a plus.

  • Medical Products / Life Science industry would be a major plus

The salary range for this role is $125,000–$140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay.
