Boston University SENIOR PROGRAM COORDINATOR, School of Law, Graduate and International Programs in BOSTON, Massachusetts

  • Provide front-desk administrative support at BU Law's Office of Graduate and International Programs (OGIP).

  • Participate in application processing including scheduling interviews, answering inquiries and preparing correspondence and various reports.

  • Assist in all graduate programs activities, including orientation and graduation.

  • Serve as first point of contact for OGIP students, prospective applicants, faculty and other School of Law staff.

  • Handle logistics for events and programs, process student enrollment and registration and assist in the maintenance of student records.

  • Assist with exam preparation and administration.

  • Maintain various databases, including admission and alumni databases and the student grading and registration system.

  • Administer mass communications via mail distribution system and other social media.

  • Assist faculty with Blackboard postings.

  • Help oversee office student workers.

Required Skills

  • Associate's Degree, B.A./B.S. preferred.

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • strong customer service skills.

  • strong attention to detail.

  • ability to handle working with interruptions.

  • one to three years of experience, preferably in an academic setting.

During the academic year the office is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays and when classes are not in session. Schedule can be flexible (10:30am - 6:30 pm) on two days or more per week to cover until closing. Staffing occasional evening and weekend events required.
