Noble Supply & Logistics Sr. Financial Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior FP&A professional is responsible for the preparation and communication of accurate and timely financial reports, analyses, forecasting, and planning. The professional will be relied on to generate reports that assess company and/or business-unit performance, drive ad-hoc business reports, special project assignments in addition to influencing P&L management through report development. This position will work closely with senior management and will play an active role in influencing financial and operational decisions. This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling experience, project management experience, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and solid skills in communication and thought leadership. The successful candidate must be able to think strategically, perform dive deep analytics and communicate effectively with senior management.

Financial Analysis:

Provides accurate and timely financial analyses, communication, ongoing monitoring and evaluation for programs and teams to aid in decision-making to improve financial performance. Draws conclusions based on semi-complex data sets; develops basic models. Manages the development and monitoring of financial targets and metrics. Prepare ad-hoc analyses for senior management.

PLANNING AND FORECASTING:

Supports Companywide plan and forecast process to provide direction in decision making, to provide controls and to effectively allocate resources in support of the company’s strategic goals. Continuously improves the reliability of planning and forecasting processes. Provides overall support for the annual process and independently completes aspects of the planning and forecasting process as assigned. Continuously improve internal processes and existing models and tools. Maintain effective communication process with key stakeholders and business partners to ensure that budgets and monthly/quarterly analyses are accurate, complete, and timely; implement corporate initiatives, including changes in reporting requirements.

REPORTING:

Develops, prepares, and presents financial reports that include accurate, reliable, relevant, timely information to provide direction in decision making or to satisfy regulatory requirements. Completes scheduled reports; proactively prepares various reports to both internal and external customers. Creates custom reports based on business needs. Track sales performance and overhead costs, providing detailed analysis of variances from established trends overall or in certain sub-categories and territories.

BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS:

Actively collaborates with business partners to assess the need and proactively leverages subject matter expertise to identify and share short- and long-term opportunities for improved financial performance and strategic decision making. Develops and maintains a strong knowledge base related to reporting best practices, industry, products channel structure, customers, competitors, and strategies for the teams they support.

SYSTEMS:

Selecting, managing, and utilizing systems and tools to facilitate accurate and reliable knowledge capture, organization, tracking, and reporting of data.

Super User - Completes more detailed maintenance. Provides guidance and backup. Makes decisions and sets improvement and business application strategies; keeps up to date on system technologies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

● Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics, MBA a plus

● 5-8 years related work experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS

● Financial, Sales, and Business analytics / reporting required.

● Salesforce and NetSuite experience preferred.

● Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
