Those in local taxes at PwC will focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on local tax matters. Your work will involve analysing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations, assisting businesses in complying with local tax requirements and optimising their local tax positions.

The Opportunity

As part of the Tax Services team you are responsible for leading the creation and implementation of impactful local tax initiatives. As a Director you set the strategic direction, lead business development efforts, and oversee multiple projects while maintaining executive-level client relations. You play a crucial role in driving business growth, shaping client engagements, and mentoring future leaders, fostering environments where people and technology thrive together.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts to drive growth

  • Oversee and manage multiple projects concurrently

  • Maintain and enhance executive-level client relationships

  • Mentor and develop the future leaders

  • Assure standards of quality, integrity, and inclusion

  • Promote innovative solutions and thought leadership in local tax

What You Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • 6 years of experience

  • CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

What Sets You Apart

  • Knowledge of multi-state income tax planning and compliance

  • Technical skills in FAS 109 and unitary filing

  • Developing and sustaining broad client relationships

  • Preparing and presenting complex resources

  • Leading teams to generate a vision and motivate members

  • Generating new business and proposal writing

  • Utilizing automation and digitization in professional services

  • Working with large, complex data sets

  • Master's Degree in Taxation preferred

The salary range for this position is: $140,900 - $434,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
