The BU CTE Center seeks a Study Coordinator to lead efforts on their new NIH/NINDS-funded project: Risk and Resilience, Clinical presentation, and Biomarker Profiles of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy and Related Dementias: The DIAGNOSE CTE Research Project II. Reports directly to, and works closely with, the Research Program Manager to: manage regulatory documents, communication with IRB and study sponsors, screen, and recruit study participants, conduct diagnostic interviews, collection and reporting of adverse events, administer cognitive and other rating scales, and coordinate study visits. The Study Coordinator will also work closely with the Finance and Grants Administration team regarding budgetary issues, and other duties as assigned by PI and/or PM.

  • Assisting the project manager in study start up activities, including but not limited to IRB, set up for each site, creation and maintenance of regulatory binders and other study materials, schedule meetings with collaborators, and record minutes. They will also assist PM in collection and reporting of adverse events and provide budget management support.

  • Screen, recruit, and retain study participants; obtain required consent, determine capacity of participants, collect medical history, coordinate lab testing, and administer and score neuropsychological tests.

  • Support recruitment coordinator with recruiting study participants. Train and support research assistants on study procedures: screening, consent, administration of questionnaires and neuropsychological tests, and scoring of neuropsychological tests.

  • Performs miscellaneous administrative duties such as answering phones, handling faxes, scanning, photocopying, collating materials, filing, managing study staff certifications and licenses, maintaining databases, etc.

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of related experience.
