Job Description

We offer meaningful, impactful assignments as well as a summer that includes team building, career development opportunities, and more! GE Vernova Interns are our primary pipeline to full-time employment opportunities as a direct hire. GE Vernova Interns are hired to focus on a particular area within Electrification Software based on availability of positions, the interviewer's assessment, and the applicant's preference. Focus area for this internship will be in Energy Management.

GE Vernova intern assignments, typically 10 to 12 weeks in length, are dynamic and challenging based on the business needs and the type of work required. Interns have significant exposure to key Software and business leaders at GE Vernova; as well as a global internship support network to accelerate learning and development.

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Degree focused in Software Engineering, Software Engineering Power Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Informatics, Information Science/Technology, or other relevant STEM majors.

• Ability to program in any of the modern programming languages - Java, C#, Go, Swift, etc.

• Exposure to version control systems - Git, Bitbucket, etc.

• Good communication; Ability to articulate ones ideas

• Curious; Open to learning and exploring new areas

• Inclusive; Willing to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds

• Minimum cumulative or in-major 3.0/4.0 GPA.

• Must commit to working full time (40 hrs/wk) during the internship in summer.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be willing to work in an office located in Bothell.

• Unrestricted legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Desired Characteristics (Nice to have skills):

• Scripting experience with Shell or Python

• Exposure to command line

• Exposure to networking concepts
