Job Description

Job Summary In this role, you will work as a Electrical Engineer in the Veolia WTS Analytical Instrument Technology team designing electronics systems and modules for development projects launching new analytical instrumentation as well as for product lifecycle support maintaining existing product lines.

Lead design activities by developing schedules and milestones, facilitating design reviews and knowledge transfer activities, and selecting options for prototyping efforts. Design digital and analog hardware utilizing FPGAs, microprocessors, ADCs/DACs, power supplies, and control circuitry to meet functional and performance specifications following best practices Create and execute test plans to qualify components and board designs, verify performance, and document results Coordinate with contract manufacturers, troubleshoot and bring up PCBAs, and ultimately release designs to production using Engineering Change Orders and a Configuration Management release process Actively participate in the development of electrical standards for product development and improvement

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Required: Solid technical background with understanding of digital and analog, circuit designs Experience using engineering CAD tools for circuit board design and schematic capture (Altium Preferred) Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting while working in a lab environment during board bring-up, characterization, and system level hardware integration using test equipment such as a DMM, oscilloscope, pulse generator, current probe, spectrum analyzer, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively work within a larger cross functional team Ability to manage actions for medium to large projects to completion while sharing technical knowledge with the group Quick learner able to understand complex schematics and system architectures Ability to collaborate with cross departmental t ams Preferred Skills: Experience designing for EMI/ESD protection Knowledge of PCB manufacture and assembly processes including Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) Familiar with component selection and managing part obsolescence

Education & Experience Required: Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering 7+ years of experience in analog design as well as product design, development, and test of electronic assemblies and instruments
