We have an exciting opportunity within the Blue Canyon Technologies Finance team for a cost controls analyst to join our finance team. You will directly support the BCT components organization which delivers products to the business areas and direct to customers.

This position requires a self-motivated individual that has a deep desire to learn with the goal to impact the business financial targets. Reporting to the Components finance manager, you will partner with their partner with their program manager(s) to control costs and schedule within product lines, communicate risks and opportunities, and provide insights to performance against the business objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are with negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and cost control guidelines.

  • Participates in the preparation of budgets and schedules for all contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.

  • Prepare data for, analysis, and generate presentations for the quarterly EAC review process.

  • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the customer.

  • Provide input to the monthly forecast process with labor and material projections for programs within the responsible product line.

  • Provide labor analysis and reporting to PM and operations finance lead in support of quarterly support factor updates, to include variances, risks, and opportunities.

  • Partner cross-functionally to facilitate contract closure.

  • Ad hoc tasks in support of the business goals.

    Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.

  • Experience with Business Planning Systems.

  • Experience with Estimates at Completion (EAC's) or similar methods for revenue recognition

  • Experience with touch, material, and support costs, schedules and/or proposals

  • Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, PMX, EDIT+ or similar systems

    Qualifications We Prefer

  • Working knowledge of SAP, Business Warehouse and PRISM.

  • Deep critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be flexible and able to care for a wide range of work assignments.

  • After 6 months the ability to work with minimal direct supervision as well as part of a team, accountability and self-inspired.

  • Understanding of Raytheon financial and accounting policies and procedures

  • Ability to care for time and prioritize workload.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize concurrent requirements and accommodate numerous stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of key financial systems and tools (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • This position is being offered in a hybrid (remote/onsite) capacity based on the needs of the business. Onsite work will be expected up 2- 3 times per week on average. The selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule. The preferred candidate will be commutable to Boulder, CO.

  • Relocation assistance is not available.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
