Registered Nurse ICU Weekend Stipend Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $35.20 - $52.80 an hour - Half Time, Days. 24 hours a week.
+$2.50 for weekend shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Registered Nurse - ICU - Weekend Stipend who provides patient care, identifying and implementing nursing interventions and evaluating outcomes.
Weekend Stipend Pay Guidelines: •Defined as 48 hours worked hours within a pay period; Two 12hr shifts per week. •12hr weekend shifts will be worked on Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday •Day and Night shift are eligible •Eligible for all premium pay and differentials – weekends, nights, incentive, holiday and overtime pay •RN commits to two weekend shifts every weekend with 6 weekends off during one calendar year. Weekend employee may choose to use PTO to supplement these weekends off, may work two weekday shifts in lieu of weekend shifts, or may chose work the routine weekend schedule.

Qualifications •Colorado RN license in good standing •BLS required by end of conditional period. •ACLS certification required before conditional period ends. Suspension will occur if certification lapses. •NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities •Coordinates and provides nursing care for critically ill or injured patients ages 13 through the lifespan with respect to diversity. In life threatening emergent situations, will provide care for critically injured children with support from physicians, pediatricians, and pediatric nurses until transfer can be done safely. Employees must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the knowledge and skills necessary to provide for the primary population of patients served in the department. Employees demonstrate the ability to alter care and patient/family education based on the age or developmental level of the patient. •Competency in rhythm recognition, ACLS guidelines, hemodynamics, and basic principles of critical care nursing. •Assesses patient status systematically, demonstrates critical thinking by anticipating and responding to changes in clinical condition. Works together as a team to meet patient individual plan. •Demonstrates an understanding of patient education tools, assesses learning ability and needs then develops an education plan to meet patient and family deficits. •May be required to perform point of care testing. May be a point of care trainer. •May be required to do moderately complex lab testing. •Committed to support patient safety and quality initiatives, ongoing transitions in standards of care as evidence based practice and research mandate change, and adhere to hospital standards for care. •Serves at patients and families liaison.
