BIM Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a BIM Coordinator with over 2+ years of experience using Revit, ideally within an Electrical Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, or MEP environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in annotations, setting up and manipulating families in the BIM model, and will use BIM for electrical design coordination with architectural, mechanical, and structural plans.
Responsibilities
Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, and structural plans.
Use BIM for electrical design including power and lighting plans, floor plans, and specifications.
Perform site evaluations and review drawing mark-ups from field installation teams.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of designs.
Detail and develop red line construction plans for the physical installation of power distribution conduit systems.
Draw mark-up drawings for power systems installations for review by electricians.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in BIM and Revit with at least 2 years of experience.
Experience in an Electrical Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, or MEP environment.
Knowledge of Navisworks.
Ability to create and manipulate families in the BIM model.
Experience with electrical design and coordination.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with annotations in Revit.
Ability to perform site evaluations and drawing mark-ups.
Experience in detailing and developing red line construction plans.
Work Environment
The position is based in an office in Bowie, Maryland, working within a 16-person team under the BIM Manager. The company offers a flexible start time for the right candidate, with core hours from 7am to 3:30pm. The team enjoys a great company culture with long average tenure and monthly team outings, such as the Maryland Renaissance Festival.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.87
